Most firms already use AI somewhere, in research, drafting, intake or practice software. Partners are now being asked to show how it's used and who is accountable. Our AI Readiness Assessment gives you a clear answer in about five minutes.

From 10 December 2026, the Privacy Act requires organisations to explain in their privacy policy when they use automated decisions that could significantly affect a person's rights or interests. That includes decisions made wholly by a computer program, or where the program does much of the work.
Not every use of AI is caught. A tool that helps a lawyer draft an email is different from one that screens clients or prioritises matters. Working out which side of that line your firm's tools sit on is the first job, and it's harder than it looks.
The rules sit alongside your existing professional duties, and courts are issuing their own guidance on generative AI in legal work. Firms that can show a clear picture of their AI use will be in a much better position than firms that can't.
24 questions across six areas:
Governance and risk. Who owns AI decisions, and how risk is managed.
Data sovereignty. Where client data goes, and who can see it.
Infrastructure and architecture. Whether your systems can support AI safely.
Strategy and ROI. Whether AI spend is tied to real outcomes.
Culture and commercials. How AI fits your pricing and the way the firm works.
Talent and literacy. Whether your people know how to use it well.
Free, straight away: a readiness score out of 100, your band, a score for each of the six areas, and the headline priorities.
Full report for $30 incl. GST: your four ranked priorities with the evidence behind them, a table of your regulatory exposure, a four-step plan, and a PDF you can take to your partners.
The assessment is general information about AI readiness. It is not legal advice.

If the results show gaps, we can help close them. That might be a short review of your roadmap, or a structured program to get governance and compliance in place before December. You decide.
